- זִילּוּף, זִלּ׳m. (זָלַף) sprinkling (with aromatic wine ). Pes.20b ראוי לז׳ (Ms. O. through entire page זֶלֶף) fit for sprinkling. Ib. תֵּעָשֶׂה ז׳ may be used for Num. R. s. 13, beg. (ref. to יזלו, Cant. 4:16) זה ז׳ that means aromatic sprinkling. Succ.40b; B. Kam. 102a לאכלה ולא לז׳ ‘to be eaten (Lev. 25:6) but not to be used for perfumes; v. זֶלַח.
